PT Kalimantan Ferro Industry (KFI) was established in November 2021 with a registered capital of IDR two trillion, about RMB 900 million, and a project investment of RMB 1.2 billion. It is located in San Asanga Town, Samarinda City, East Kalimantan Province, Indonesia, covering a total area of about 4,950 acres. Four 42MVA ferronickel production lines have been built in the first phase with an annual output of 300,000 tons. It is proposed to build 18 ferronickel production lines, adopting RKEF process, and will establish an integrated smelting industrial park of ferronickel, ferrochrome, stainless steel and high ice nickel in three phases.
